Takoyaki of Osaka


In the old days, one of the famous Takoyaki shop named "Aizuya" in Osaka. It was first Takoyaki's shop in Japan. Tomekichi Endo baked Takoyaki put in meat and konnyaku. It called dawn of Takoyaki.
In Taisyo period, there was cooking use a Takoyaki griddle of the kind. It called "Cyobo-yaki" ; The contents of a "Cyobo-yaki" was konnyaku. Then it swelled bigger and it substituted contents of a meat, and "Cyobo-yaki" changed the name "Radio-yaki".
In Syowa reriod, booth of "Radio-yaki" came custom from Akashi. The man said him "Akasi-yaki put in octopus in Akashi!!" This is the origin of"Takoyaki"

* Takoyaki and akasiyaki looks like same food. But Takoyaki and Akashiyaki was not same taste!! I introduce you to different point.
Akashiyaki is called "Egg baking". It was born at the end time of theEdo period. Egg baking are contents softly. Contents is the octopus of Akashi. It are attached sause, that eats as softly. It taste octopus.

*Takoyaki of Osaka is called"Radio baking"at the beginning of Showa.Takoyaki is octopus contents after the war. A welsh onion, red pickled gingerCetc are put in. It big hits and hardening. Takoyaki eats sause and green laver are shaken. It is popular by the taste. It taste like "Okonomiyaki".
