Bunraku

Bunraku is name of puppet drama that arose during Edo period.

Bunraku is a union of three art of forms in which a Tayu or narrator, narrates a story to musical accompaniment by a Shamisen player, whist on stage doll manipulators make dolls perform to match the words of the tayufs story.

This is sizuka gozen from Yositsune senbonzakura.

GENTA      He is gentle and handsome expression. This is used for young and good-looking men.

 KEBIISHI      He is used for wise expression.

Fuke-oyama  This is used for married and older women.

MUSUME This is used for young, unmarried girls, wives of daimyou and shopkeepers.
