HOW TO MAKE SCONES
They are often eaten with a cup of coffee in the afternoon
To make them, you need butter, milk, sugar and flour. The sugar you need here is a fine sugar called caster sugar, and the flour is self-raising, which means it makes the scones get bigger when they are cooking.
Here is the list of things you need
225g self-raising flour
40g butter
150ml milk
20ml caster sugar
a little salt
You also need
Sieve(a), mixing bowl(b), rolling pin(c), pastry cutter(d), baking sheet(e),and cooling rack(f)
Process
1, Turn the oven to 220℃
2, Push the flour through the sieve into a bowl and add the butter with your fingers
3, Add the sugar and a little salt
4, Using a knife, add the milk, little by little
5, Make it into a ball with your hands. This is dough
6, Roll the dough with the rolling pin until it is 1-2cm thick
7, Cut the dough using the cutter
8, Put the scones onto the baking sheet
9, Cook for 12-15min. until brown
10, Put on the cooling rack until cool
11, Eat with butter, jam and cream !!!!
